TRAINING

The group of horses we use in our day-to-day programs are quiet, respectful and willing.  People come to our facility daily and comment on the quality of horses that we have. We had so many people inquire about horse training that we made the decision to offer it to the public.

During your horse’s stay here they will learn to respect you both on the ground and under saddle. They will get comfortable with all types of handling. Your horse will go home confident on basics such as leads, moving off leg pressure, stopping and holding a frame. They will have been exposed to many different things such as tarps, exercise balls and flags.

Day to day the ranch is a busy place and your horse will see many different things while here with us.

We recommend a 2-month stay for optimum results, but it is left at your discretion.

We require a contract to be filled out and ask that you come and tour the facility before leaving the horse with us.  We welcome and recommend that you come and see your horse throughout their stay. During your horse’s last week we highly recommend you come and ride your horse with the trainer.

Cuda spent 3 months with us over the winter 2011. We are very excited to see this talented mare enter the barrel pen.


“Free” a  2 year old filly owned by Sherrie Ross
This filly was here to be started and spent 2 months here at ERA this winter. This video was done just before she went home. “Free” has a very bright future with her family and we look forward to hearing updates on her!
